Zahra graduated Medicine from King's College London with an intercalated BSc in Surgery and Anaesthesia from Imperial. Her placements as an intern at the World Health Organisation and as a Surgical Simulation Fellow have developed her interests in global surgery and clinical education. Zahra ranked 1st at National Selection for Trauma and Orthopaedics Speciality Training and is currently a less than full time Registrar on the Percivall Pott Rotation in London as well as the Women in Surgery Representative for the British Orthopaedic Trainees Association.
