William Maynard is a urology registrar in the Thames Valley region and BSoT's (BAUS section of trainees) representative on the ASiT council and runs the pre-conference Core Urology Skills Course. Before this he was a member of the ASiT council as Core Trainee and West of Scotland Representative. In this role he founded the ASiT Foundation Surgical Skills course in Glasgow and ASiT preparing for ST3 course. A strong believer in innovation his current interests include developing a machine learning algorithm to aid in remote diagnosis of bladder outlet obstruction and securing successful grant funding for exploratory work assessing intra-operative nerve stimulation during prostatectomy.
