Medical Student Representative, ASIT
Viraj is a penultimate year medical student at Imperial College London, ex-HLA scholar, Akindolie medical scholar and has graduated with honours and prizes from his intercalated BSc at Imperial College Business School. Viraj's experience lies at the intersection of surgery, innovation and academia, and he has a primary clinical interest in plastic surgery. Having played an active role in various research positions within PRASSA, GEIGS, IncisioN UK and METRO working with international teams from Johns Hopkins, UCL and KCL, Viraj has developed an interest in translating academia at scale to meliorate surgical training. Motivated to have large-scale impact, he has actively embedded himself in the digital health and health-tech ecosystem, within startups and beyond. His particular expertise lies in amplifying the role of machine learning in surgical practice.
