Mr Giuliani is a Consultant Specialist Neonatal and Paediatric Surgeon at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children in London. He holds an honorary Associate Professorship at the Great Ormond Street Institute of Child Health at UCL, where he is the Principal Investigator for Image-guided Surgery for Children’s Cancers. Mr Giuliani and his team are working to develop image-guided surgery for Neuroblastoma and other paediatric solid tumours. His research vision is to help surgeons better visualise cancer at the time of the resection. His team is developing a novel platform to enhance surgical precision to eradicate children cancers with fluorescence, photoacoustic imaging, and other innovative technologies. These techniques will help reduce damages to normal organs and obtain a complete removal of the tumour, leading to better surgical and oncologic outcomes.
