
Soham Bandyopadhyay
Academic Clinical Fellow in Neurosurgery
Soham Bandyopadhyay is an academic doctor, with interests in neurosurgery, global health, and medical education. He completed his MA in Medical Sciences and BM BCh at St Hilda’s College at the University of Oxford, obtaining a distinction in his first BM examinations. Since graduation, he has completed 1) a postgraduate certificate in clinical practice, management and education, 2) an advanced diploma in healthcare business and finance, and 3) a masters in public health. As part of his academic responsibilities, he is a non-stipendiary lecturer in medicine for St Hilda's College, a teaching associate for the Oxford University Global Surgery Group, a module lead for the Clinical Practice, Management & Education degree at the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan), and a teaching fellow for the University of Southampton. He is also an educational and research mentor for students internationally.
He previously completed an academic foundation programme under the supervision of Professor Kokila Lakhoo. He continues to work with Professor Lakhoo as part of the Global Health Research Group on Children's Non-Communicable Diseases. He is passionate about bringing the voices of patients and the general public to the table when discussing research or advocacy efforts.
