Sas Banerjee has been a consultant colorectal surgeon in North-East London (NEL) since 2011 and currently is the Regional Endoscopy Clinical Director with NHSE. At a National level, he contributes as a member to the National Diagnostics Clinical Advisory Group. With the Royal College of Surgeons of England, he is an examiner for MRCS & also the Regional Director for NEL. He has been a key stakeholder for the development of a GIRFT accredited elective hub at his local Trust which has been described as an exemplar at the Health Select Committee in Parliament. He is the Clinical Lead for Endoscopy, RDC and Gastroenterology at the Trust which has operational and strategic responsibilities.
