Nigel Roberts is an Operating Department Practitioner. He is currently the Head of Nursing at Birmingham Children's hospitals. Nigel is also the deputy chair for the National network of theatre managers. To date he has published in excess of twenty papers, including fourteen during his current Doctoral of Philosophy studies. His PhD via the University of Derby is looking at why intra-operative ‘Never Events’ are still occurring in NHS operating theatres. Nigel has a keen interest in patient safety in the operating theatres.
