Director & Head of Integrated Health Solutions
Matt is currently Director and Head of IHS for the UK & Ireland, focusing on developing innovative services and solution partnerships that ‘beyond the device’. In addition to his role in the UK&I, Matt also leads on IHS neuroscience and digital surgery solutions in Europe, Middle East and Africa. Matt studied both Physiological Sciences and Medicine at Oxford University, holds postgraduate qualifications law, and is Member of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. Matt has over 15 years’ experience of strategic health and transformation projects. Prior to joining Medtronic, he was the National Director of a large strategic health consultancy working on national and international consultancy projects. Matt has an extensive knowledge of health policy, professional body recommendations and novel international models of service provision, particularly embedding medical technology in clinical pathways to drive efficiency and patient outcome. His current focus is on developing new models of day case surgery provision, supported by emerging digital technology, to assist hospitals in tackling surgical waiting lists as the health systems emerge from the pandemic.
