Lauren has been working as a cardiothoracic surgical care practitioner at St Bartholomew’s Hospital since 2018. She is a member of the minimally invasive mitral valve surgery team, and is actively involved in several research and quality improvement projects which focus on reducing workplace risk and occupational disease. Prior to her cardiothoracic SCP role, Lauren was an emergency nurse practitioner working as a clinical manager within the fields of pre-hospital emergency care, public health and occupational disease. She established and managed multiple on-site medical centres for several major construction projects, including the London 2012 Olympics project, Battersea Power Station and Crossrail.
