Jia Yin Tan grew up in Malaysia and moved to the UK for her university education. She graduated from the University of Nottingham with a research degree on pre-eclampsia. She is currently a CST2 at the Sheffield Children’s Hospital. She would like to pursue a career in surgery and has a keen interest in ENT. Her article on electronic nose as a potential front-line point-of-care diagnostic tool was featured in the ENT and Audiology News. She was awarded best poster presentation for her published systematic review on total knee arthroplasty in the context of pigmented villonodular synovitis.
