Professor Dhanda is a UK trained Consultant Oral and Maxillofacial/ Head and Neck Reconstructive Surgeon and Honorary Professor Of Surgery at Brighton and Sussex Medical School with a specialist interest in head and neck cancer and free flap reconstruction. He is coapplicant for a NIHR doctoral research fellowship exploring the utilisation of iKnife technology (proteomic real time mass spectomtery) and robotic surgery for head and neck cancer and the founder and clinical director of Virtual Reality in Medicine and Surgery, a free for trainee resource utilising virtual reality technology for medical and surgical education. He is the only UK surgeon to have obtained the college, specialty and faculty research fellowships from the Royal College of Surgeons of England and he is the programme director for the MSc programme in Implant Dentistry asnd Reconstructive Surgery at Brighton and Sussex Medical School. Professor Dhanda is a member of council for the British Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons as well as chair of the postgraduate committee for the Faculty of Dental Surgery, Royal College of Surgeons of England.
