Miss Wilson qualified from GKT medical school in 2006 and became a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in Cardiothoracic surgery in 2015. She has a high level of experience in both minimally invasive and complex open techniques. She has a particular interest in the management of anterior mediastinal masses and robotic thymectomy for myasthenia gravis. She specialises in minimally invasive thoracic surgery performing robotic assisted lobectomy and segmentectomy, achieving 90% of lung resections through a minimally invasive approach. She works as a proctor for Intuitive Surgical, training others within the UK and Europe in robotic surgery.
