Deborah Eastwood is President of the British Orthopaedic Association. She works as a paediatric orthopaedic surgeon at Great Ormond St Hospital for Children and the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital and is an Associate Professor at UCL. She has won awards for teaching and training and is shortlisted for the BOTA Trainer of the Year award 2022. Until last month, she was on the Council of Management of the Editorial Society for Bone and Joint Surgery. Her interests centre on growth and development of her patients, her ‘trainees’ and the profession.
