Having completed my ST6 training in general surgery, I was awarded the RCS England/HEE robotic research fellowship which I have undertaken for the past two years. My project is looking specifically at training in robotic assisted surgery (RAS) and standardising training for trainees across the surgical specialities. As a keen colorectal trainee, I have worked as part of the Dukes' club executive and provided high quality educational resources. At present, I am working with all the key stakeholders both nationally and globally to standardise RAS training and ensure it is made equitable for all.
