Dr. Berta Ortiga is the Medtronic CRMS Western Europe Senior Director for all surgical businesses. She graduated Medicine school in 2001 and became an specialist in Preventive Medicine and Public Health in 2006. She worked in several medical management positions for close to 8 years and finally became Deputy hospital CEO of a large university affiliated hospital nearby Barcelona (Hospital Universitari de Bellvitge), before joining Medtronic in 2015. She has a PhD in Medicine based on Performance improvement and Patient Flow operations, and an Executive MBA by ESADE Business School in Barcelona.
