Ben is a Double Paralympic Champion from the recent Paralympic Games in Tokyo. He found cycling after contracting Guillain–Barré when he was 14. Ben initially took a traditional career path becoming a Chartered Surveyor after University. It was only in 2016 when Ben went to a talent ID day run by British Cycling where he showed good potential and started with top 10 placings in his first World Cup to winning a silver medal at his first World Championships in 2017. Strong progression followed, ultimately leading to selection for Tokyo 2020 where he won two gold medals.
