Dr Angela Lam is a Junior Doctor with a strong interest in medical technology and innovation. She has been the National Director of MedTech Foundation since August 2020, a national organisation that aims to inspire, educate and connect the next generation of healthcare innovators. Within her role as National Director, she introduced the MedTech Foundation Hackathons as an effective way to rapidly start developing solutions to real unmet clinical needs, as well as educate and up-skill participants in medical innovation. She also established 7 new spokes nationally, addressing the unmet needs of interdisciplinary collaboration and education in medical innovation at the university and early career stages. She has represented MedTech Foundation’s work at both national and international events, and continues to inspire growth in this field. Formerly, she co-founded their Cambridge spoke and their first National Committee, where she held the position of National Strategic Director. During this time she had developed a 4-year strategy plan for their national growth and followed through to help shape what MedTech Foundation is today. Previously, Angela was also the National Finance Director of Students for Global Health, and has held numerous other positions at student society levels.
