Adnan is a ST6 in colorectal surgery and Clinical Research Fellow at the University of Nottingham. He works within an exciting academic group with an interest in the safe integration of AI into digital cancer screening. His PhD thesis focusses on benchmarking the performance of commercially available AI algorithms to the largest cohort of breast cancer screening radiologists and human-AI interaction during image interpretation with the use of modern eye-tracking equipment. He is also working extensively with clinical experts, software developers and NHS England in the development of a novel digital external quality assurance platform for lung cancer screening.
