Rethinking Clinical Insourcing – how new workforce models are supporting the NHS

Healthcare workforce experts Medacs Healthcare explain their new and improved surgical insourcing model, how it differs from traditional approaches, and its rapid impact on the waiting list position for two of their NHS partners.
Alongside University Hospitals Leicester’s Clinical Lead for General Surgery, Medacs’ insourcing expert Martin Watts will evidence increases in surgical capacity and productivity, focusing on the results to date from two recent insourcing projects. They will discuss how the flexibility the Medacs model offers is a better fit for NHS providers with varying needs and workforce challenges, why an embedded and motivated workforce matters, and how a ‘full service’ focus from pre-op to recovery can reliably and safely boost surgical activity.

Speakers
Sam Sangal, Head of Service (General Surgery) Clinical Lead (Colorectal) - University Hospitals Leicester NHS Trust
Martin Watts, Head of Clinical Insourcing - Medacs Healthcare
