The STIG/ Flex Tip Bougie has a flexible, steerable tip which makes it easier to navigate difficult airways. This latex free technology has slider tabs on the ladder which are easy to grip and manoeuvre even with gloves.
The slider tabs are situated so they will not need to pass through vocal cords.

The blunt silicone tip reduces the risk of tracheal trauma. The blunt silicon tip has a bright phosphorous coating on tip makes it highly visible, luminescent, even with the ultra-violet used by some laryngoscopes.
There are graduation marks from 10 to 50cm and 65cm overall.

You introduce the STIG with anterior flexion and then straighten to advance the tube or retro-flex if needed.
