Future workforce: Supporting diversity in the workforce

01 Oct 2024
Future Surgery Theatre 1
Supporting diversity in the surgical workforce is essential for fostering innovation, improving patient care, and ensuring that the healthcare system reflects the communities it serves. This session will explore the importance of diversity in surgery, identify current challenges, and propose strategies to create a more inclusive environment. By understanding and addressing the barriers that underrepresented groups face in surgical careers, we can build a workforce that is more resilient, empathetic, and capable of meeting the needs of a diverse patient population.
